Our group basically met in December, 1997. Most of us had been posting questions and comments on the newsgroup alt.smokers.cigars and decided to get together. We come from all walks of life and various income levels, but it doesn't matter. When we sit around smoking cigars and shooting the breeze, its only a group of guys having a good time. Below are either events that are either up-and-coming or are a little history detailing our past events. If you are in the Detroit area or happen to visit here, by all means, come join us! Brews, some good drinks, great conversation and excellent cigars are what we are all about!

THE GEHMAN
BACKYARD HERF!!!
In August, 1999, we met
at the home of our illustrious Motown Cigar Group guru, John Gehman for an afternoon of
cigars and food. Six million cigars were smoked and we were treated to a tour of
John's many humidors, closetdor, and of course, the huge coolerdors in the basement!
Thanks, John!

The August
Cigar Thang!
Seven of the guys met up at Churchill's in Rochester and had a good time, thank you Dennis Haas for the fine Ramon Allones, and thank you to Churchill's for the fine hospitality and discount on our purchases.
THE DETROIT/ANN ARBOR HERF AND BURP! or HERFIN' ANN ARBOR STYLE!
We had a great time on April 11, 1998. We had ten of us show up (Darren P., Bill T., John Z, John, G, Dennis H., Tom W., Dave S., Brian D., Steve W., John C.). Quite few beers were consumed, and cigars were smoked, traded and gifted all around! We would like to thank Jason of Dearborn Tobacco for being our personal vendor and contributing toward the prizes. Drinks afterward were had at Weber's. This was Dennis Haas' preview to Boondoggle '98 in Vegas. Have a good time, Dennis and mooch us some good cigars! We'll post our next event right here. The crawl that started it all!
The Detroit (Motown) Crawl...and a great time was had by all. There were eight of us in attendance, including Bill Tennant, Rodger Will, Dennis Haas, Sung Hee Hong, John Gehman, David Schade, Greg Lucot, and me. We hit four shops and ate and smoked like pigs at Morton's. It was nice to meet new friends and enjoy the comadraderie of fine cigars. Thanks to the guys at Dearborn Tobacco for their hospitality (and the beer). A second crawl/herf will be planned for March or April...stay tuned!
